.................................................................................................( Updated 04-04-14 )

.........................................

I'm currently building.a Lakester (an open wheeled car with a streamline body) for Bonneville. I was going to use a small block chevy, but decided instead to use a 750cc Suzuki motorcycle engine. This will put me in the J/GL (.75 liter/Gas Lakester) class. Eventually I want to put a turbo on the motor and that will move me to J/BGL (.75 liter/Blown Gas Lakester). I'm also making the car large enough that later I can/could move up to larger motors if I want to. The "Salt Bullet" name came about as my mom always referred to it as the "bullet" car and the "salt" part should be obvious.
If you are interested follow along as I build this car with help from friends. This is going to take a while so be patient and check back when you can. Please be aware that information and construction techniques shown and/or described on this site are not necessarily safe or proven and if you choose to incorporate any of the ideas and/or construction information on this site into your car you are doing so at your own risk.
