.......................................-- A Bracket and Gussets --

....................

It was time to make a lower bracket in this area to help the upper bracket (upper arrow) locate the end of the right axle locating assembly. A small plate with two holes in it was attached to the assembly (right bottom arrow). Two pieces (left bottom arrow) that go under the lever arm assembly and out to the front cross-member were welded to the plate.

....................

Two tabs were made that will hold the bracket to the cross-member.

....................

One of the tabs was welded to the cross member (left arrow) and the other was welded to the bracket (lower arrow) that goes back under the crossmember to the axle locating assembly.

....................

The finished bracket.

A view of the bottom of the bracket showing the piece of steel that was laminated to it for added strength. It is 3/8 inch thick in that area.

A view showing how it is mounted from below.........................

...........................................................and from above. The arrows point to the two ends.

....................

Gussets were added to some of the other tabs that had been welded onto the frame recently. The arrows point to the new additions.

....................

Here the left arrow points to a new gusset and the right points to the cross-member I did a page ago that also is now welded in to help support the tab that has the two bolts in it.

....................

Also I was happy with what I had to the point that I finished welding all the joints on the new frame ahead of the cage area (see arrows for examples).
