It is, as I write this, about 8 days before John and Hooley have to leave for the Salt. Yesterday John went over and got the car back from Hooley who has been working on the new belly pan and larger rear spill plates along with a bunch of other stuff. Today he put the front end on that he has been modifying with the new scoop for this year.

.................................

He has also made the front-end all one piece (the hood use to lift off) and has worked on the headlights a little and also filled in the grill openings. The grill openings you see above are decals along with decals for the lights. Pretty neat!!

.........................

John has also at the last minute fabricated the skirts below the rear quarter panels. These, we hope, will also help with the stability of the car (keep it going straight).

.................

A view of the back of the car.

......................

What a profile!!! John I think it looks great and you did an outstanding job. At the back you can see the new larger side spill plates that Hooley finished the day before these pictures were taken. Good job Hooley!!! They also help the car's stability.

......................

The finished car. I can't wait to see it running down the salt in a couple weeks. Our goal is 235 mph. With the new blown motor we think it has the potential, but the salt can be mighty humbling at times.
