............

Hooley built front suspension stops for the car. It is the threaded rod with a saddle like piece on the bottom that rides against the A-arm. In this picture the coil-over has been removed from the A-arm and the car is sitting on the stop. It was decided to add the stop so that if the car sees more down force at increased speeds that the front is not pushed down on the tires.

............

Hooley also added a rear stop and the car is resting on it here since the coil-over has been removed from it's top mount.

........................

Hooley also added jack points to the car to make it easier to get up in the air to work on in the pits. Here he used the towbar mount on the front bumper for a sliding jack bar. He also added 2 jack points on the rear of the car with bars that slide into receivers and are pinned.

..............

Also on the agenda for this year was a belly pan. While John is finishing up with the frontend in Missouri Hooley took the car back to Oklahoma to finish the belly pan. Here it is shown under construction with the picture looking towards the front of the car.

..............

Here is a view of the rear, still not complete, but getting there. The ladder bars come down through the belly pan and will be covered if there is time.

..............

Here is a view looking in the back at the belly pan. It is mid July and a new larger spoiler along with larger side spill plates still has to be finished.

..............

Another item on the car that was changed for 2005 was larger spill plates on the sides of the rear spoiler. This will help with the center of pressure. Last year we didn't know what that was and the effect it had in helping the car go straight, so our spill plates were small and just looked like other cars. Now they are as large as the rules permit. In the picture above the right side one is in place.
