......................................Teardrop Trailer Page 2
Frame & Suspension -- The frame is 57 inches wide by 9 feet long. The axle has a 67 inch track width and the springs are 2000 lb.. The tongue is long enough for the trailer to be at 90 degrees to the tow vehicle without hitting the body. The dropped part in the front will be the kitchen galley with the bed/seat to the rear. Wheels are 14 X 6 chrome smoothies the 185 X 60 X14 tires.
.....................
Back Floor -- Under the back floor and behind the axle is a large compartment for a 12 gallon fresh water tank. Next to it are two small compartments, one for a 12 volt deep cycle battery and the other for the water pump. In front of the axle is a storage area under the front of the bed/seat area.

Front Floor -- Looking at the front of the floor we view the area that will be the galley ( there will be a counter, sink, stove area and frig in this area).

Finished Floor/Bed Top View -- In this view we see that the 20 gauge cold rolled steel has been welded to the whole frame and the boxes that make up the rear storage areas. I have the 1/2 inch particle board attached to the far side as a template for building the side framing.

Bottom of Trailer -- Here the trailer has been turned upside down for painting. It received 2 coats of PPG DP40. Then all the seams were sealed with seam sealer and then it received a coat of Dupont Centari black. This is the last we will see of the bottom, hopefully.
