......................................................................Walls Part III

.....

.................

After Bob left I started on the remainder of the exterior walls and some of the interior walls.

.................

This is the south wall of the workshop and the east wall of the sunroom. In the south wall there is a window on the right side for light and ventilation for the workshop. Next there are four smaller openings and a door way that is in this area. There will be an attached lean-to type green house on this wall in this area. It will provide winter growing of vegetables and also provide heat for the workshop.

Next along the wall is a door into the shop along with another window for light and ventilation.

The doorway into the east wall of the sunroom will be the main entrance to the house.

.................

I also finished up the west wall of the living quarters and at the right end is the west wall of the sunroom. The top of it is lower as the trusses will be lower over the sunroom verses the rest of the building.

.................

Another view of the west wall. The main house/shop has 10 foot walls and the sunroom on the right side has 8 foot walls. The small opening to the right and under the window in the sunroom is for the dogs to enter and leave the house without having to open a main door. This door for the dogs was later abandoned.

.................

The south wall of the sunroom. There will be 4 large windows with a glass door between the 3rd window from the left and the 4th window. It is hoped that this room will provide most of the daytime heat during the winter months, plus a nice place to sit with a lot of green plants.

If you look at the top wall of the main building you can see where I have placed wood blocking with spacing for the trusses. This saved a lot of time placing the trusses as we just had to lower them into the slots.

Another view of the sunroom at sunset.

.................

Now we are almost ready for the trusses and the roof, but first......
