This was close to a 3000 mile trip from July 9th 2009 into mid August. Leaving southeast Utah we drove to and sailed Priest Lake in Upper Idaho for 12 days. Then we drove across the Canadian Border and sailed Kootenay Lake in British Columbia for 12 days also. From there we drove to the Bonneville Salt Flats 120 miles west of Salt Lake City near the Utah/Nevada border to help our friend Hooley race his 253 MPH Studebaker. From there we returned home on August 12th. We stayed in the Mac on the road and on the two lakes every night, finally getting a motel room in Wendover, UT at the salt flats. It was a great month for us. We hope you enjoy reading our journal and hopefully some of our experiences will help you at some point.
