Ruth would sew the netting to the structure along one whole seam then..

One thing that doesn't show in the pictures is that at the very end Ruth sewed a 12 inch wide strip of bare netting to the very bottom where the arrows like. It just hangs down past the rub-rail for some added protection.

....go under the arm of the sewing machine. It took both of us to get this done, but was one of the fastest parts of the whole deal.
