.........................................................................................................--- Part II ---

..............

The left arrow points to a port there that limited the distance the shelf could go in that direction. The middle arrow points to a divider that wasn't wide enough (didn't come out far enough) and ...

..............

.... a second piece was added to it to increase the width.

..............

A couple pieces of plywood were cut to hold the two pieces together on the back side.

..............

Another piece was added to the far right and it was joined to the one to the left with a piece with an arch cut into it. The arched piece was screwed to the bulkhead and the side uprights to the arch. Now the shelf is beginning to get pieces that make it self-supporting.

..............

The arrows point to all of the different angles one has to work with.

..............

The two different size plates will be held in the area above. All of the uprights and such were made from cedar. I brought some from home where the local lumber yard sells them pretty cheap for fencing. They are 7/8 th inch thick since they are only planed on one side. Home Depot had more expensive cedar in Florida that was planned on 2 sides and 3/4 of an inch thick. You will see some of both on the boat and I made...

.....................

... the storage unit above for Ruth at home out of the cheap stuff and some redwood that they sell for decking and such. Back to the boat...

..............

A bottom back piece was added to hold the plates out at the bottom and after the picture I also screwed into it and into the bulkhead behind it.

..............

A divider was added in front of the larger diameter plates, top arrows. Then side pieces were added to the sides of the smaller diameter plates, bottom/middle arrows, so that they wouldn't roll around.

..............

The center section received some additional supports, arrows and ...

..............

... a piece was cut to go on them to raise...

..............

... the plates that were stored there to a higher level. This was mostly for looks as you will see later.

..............

The area for the other deeper bowls was also boxed in and...

..............

...dividers were cut to keep the...

..............

....$1.00 sugar containers from hitting each other.

..............

In rough seas these and probably the plates will be taken down.
