The small plenum under the throttle bodies that was for the MAP sensor was staying wet after running and was beginning to deteriorate the sensor seal.

I removed the plenum and and welded up the holes where it had been attached to the TB's and tapped into the TB's 1/8" pipe then plugged them off. They may come in handy some day. I temporarily mounted the plenum to the frame and attached the standard Suzuki MAP tube to the frame. Seemed to work fine. It may not be temporary position.

Ahh,the nose piece. The third nose piece. It looks pretty big here but it's only about 10" wide at the front. I know it's not the current shape style but there is an attachment point inside for towing with a small wheeled axle for recovery at the races. Sorry PorkPie.

This is where the computer rests when it's data recording.The door was mandatory so someone can turn it on before launch and off with out taking the panel off. Hope it lives!

Trimming the rear 1/4 panel. The English wheel was used for forming this panel. I'm starting to get the hang of this tool but have a way to go before I'll be satisfied with the results. The Harbor Freight English wheel isn't the best wheel on the market but it's pretty good deal for a amateur. The anvils need to have a flat spot turned in the middle them like the better built wheels have. I flattened one of mine and the results were much better.

The tail shape was drawn by PorkPie when he sent me some ideas to help me with the aero. The car was already pretty much set, as far as basic shape goes when I asked him to look at some drawings. He came up with about 6 different suggestions and I tried to use them all as much as I could without redoing to much. My simple goals were to sit in the car comfortably. Keep the frontal area down. Keep the body transitions gentle (7 degrees max.). Looks like I'll be able to run it this year and see what I have. It will be with a used, internally stock Saturn engine so the speed results won't be earth shaking. I hope to run it at Lovelock and see what I have to do to get it ready for speed week. After 4 1/2 years of low budget work, it's getting pretty exciting now boys!
