.................................................--- Some of Ruth's Bags ---

======================================================

..............

Over the past couple years Ruth has made a number of bags for the MacGregor and ....
..............
....for the Endeavour. Some are general purpose bags and some are specific to ...
..............
.... a particular application like the one above that is for the Dodger body for the Endeavour.
..............
The Dodger front window gets wrapped in an old sheet to keep it from getting scratched and is stored in the bag above. We usually use 1/4 inch line for the ties.
..............
Above the Dodger front has been placed in the bag.
..............
Next, above, is the bag that contains the but screen for the front of the Dodger that zips to it.
..............
Ruth has also started sewing tags onto the bags in some instances and that helps a lot in identifying what is in the bag. We then mark the contents with a felt tipped pen.
..............
Above is the whole Dodger set. If you missed it the Dodger build is ( HERE ).
..............
The blue bag above holds the canvas/screen hatch covers Ruth sewed up.
..............
Besides bag she has also made covers for our outboards, top left arrow.
..............
The Bimini is stored in this bag. If you missed it the Bimini build is ( HERE ).
.......................
We didn't really warm up to the gold material but accented with the blue makes it look very nautical, at least to us ;-).
.......................
This bag contains the full cockpit bug screen enclosure. If you missed it the build is ( HERE ).
............................
Above are some smaller bags that were made mainly for the MacGregor along...
............................
.... with these. They prove to work well keeping a number of things organize at home, on the road and on the boat.
............................
On Lake Powell in Utah you need shore lines as often you just can't anchor and Ruth made these bags for our shore lines ( 3/8 3 twist nylon anchor lines).
They are very nice and quick to use as you just stuff the line into the bag and it always comes out without tangling.
............................
One end of the line passes out the bottom, so the bag stays with the line. We can use a shackle to daisy-chain lines together if we need more than 200 feet, which ....

...................
...... sometimes happens there.
............................
She made a couple of these bags.
As far as construction of these bags goes you have a number of options. We have started to settle on ....
........
.... what you see above where the bag is 3 pieces (top, main body and bottom). If there is any interest we might post pictures of the steps to make a bag like this, but you can find different ideas on making bags on the Internet and I think Sailrite has suggestions also.
